Backlight

Back light is when the sun is directly in front of the photographer and behind the subject that you are taking a picture of. By using this you can obtain a dreamy atmosphere or a superior atmosphere. A lot of the time the back light creates a glow to the subject.

Portrait

A portrait should be of a person usually from the chest up but it can also be the entire body.

there is mainly three angles that you can take a portrait picture ; front , side profile and 1/3 of the face.

Aperture

Talking about camera functions can be difficult to understand, so instead of trying to explain aperture using the functions of a camera I'll use the human eye , most cameras being produced today is designed like the human eye anyways. the human eye contains a pupil the pupil either constricts or expands depending on the amount of light that it's processing. When the doctor shines a light into your eye the pupil will constrict. if you're on a date in a low lit room your pupils will expand. The amount of light that enters the camera depends on the size of the
opening. You use the AV or A function on a camera. AV stands for aperture value or just aperture. While using this you can focus on a main focus point and blur the background.

ISO

ISO is one of the three pillars of photography. The other two being Shutter speed and Aperture. ISO is all about light sensitivity. How sensitive your camera is to the available light source.  Your camera has a little component inside of it that's called image sensor also called senor. This object is responsible for gathering light and transforming it into an image. To capture images in a low light setting you could increase the sensitivity, but with increased sensitivity comes lower quality. The lower quality pictures have what some people call background noise, others call it grainy.  Every camera has a something called " Base ISO " which is the lowest ISO with the highest quality.

Light

This is the second assignment in photography class !
We had about an hour to go out and take pictures to portray different effects that different types of light could have. Taking pictures with the flash , pictures when its cloudy.
So here are some of the pictures I took.

These two pictures to the left were taken outside during a cloudy day. ( Not really the beginning was actually very rainy, but they said after the storm comes the calm) The lighting is natural and even, in my opinion it gives the picture a smooth tone.

This picture is taken with the light coming in front of the girl. I would say it was a reflective light effect. The pictures are shadowy and bright  at certain places like her face.

But unlike the picture above the light is taken from the background. Which make the entire picture dark and gloomy.

Abrstract Composition

Abstract Photos

At least kind of ?

The First picture is of a class mate , Ellen~Marie. I took a picture of the shutters and got her reflection with ( Very beautiful girl )

Second is of a security camera and the third is three pictures instead of two, because the first is the way it was taken, the second is when it has been edited, and it looks more realistic, but I like the third one most.
I've used an app called snapseed to edit these on my cellphone.
